A new monthly market opens in Woodstock this Saturday

Founders Keepers Market launches at The Woodstock Foundry on 3 October 2026, and plans to return on the first Saturday of every month.

Woodstock picks up a new market this weekend, and the pitch is an unusual one in a city that tends to go big. Founders Keepers Market opens at The Woodstock Foundry on Saturday 3 October, and it is small by design.

Rather than filling every available metre, the market gathers a short list of independent artists, makers, vintage collectors, flower sellers and jewellers into the corners and courtyards of the Foundry, the restored industrial building on Albert Road that has housed design studios and workshops for years. A few food trucks fill the gaps. The Foundry’s resident tenants, VRVO jewellery and Beagle + Basset among them, keep their doors open while the market runs, so the browsing carries on past the stalls.

The thinking behind it is quality and discovery rather than volume. Fewer traders means more time at each table, and a better chance of talking to the person who actually made what you are holding. It is pitched at locals looking for a regular Saturday rather than visitors ticking off a list, which is a gap worth filling in a part of town that sees plenty of both.

The first Saturday of the month rhythm is the other half of the idea. A monthly date is easier to build a habit around than a one-off, and gives traders a reason to bring something new each time.

Entry is free, the market is undercover, and there is parking nearby. Dogs and children are welcome.
