An annual Christmas gift market at the Sea Point Civic Centre, gathering over 200 hand-picked crafters for end-of-year shopping. Stalls run across craft, clothing, garden and décor, with jewellery and children's gifts alongside. A dedicated Food Hall carries Christmas fruit cakes, rusks, biltong and droëwors, Hertzoggies and preserves.

Craft X-Po Christmas Market
Annual
An annual Christmas craft market at the N.G. Kerk in Bellville, with over 220 stallholders chosen for handmade quality. The hall holds mostly handcrafted goods, with a few craft essentials and imported items alongside. As one of the first big markets to open, and running three weeks, it is where many shoppers get an early start on gifts.

Maynardville Garden Market

An outdoor festive market set in Maynardville Park in Wynberg, bringing together independent traders from across Cape Town. Stalls run across food, clothing, homeware and accessories over five days, with family entertainment alongside. The park setting is the draw, one of Wynberg's best-known green spaces turned over to festive shopping.

Paarl Feesmark
Annual
An annual festive market in the Paarl Town Hall, with makers travelling in from as far as Thabazimbi, Bethlehem, George and Gauteng. Stalls carry leather goods, silver jewellery, pearls, needlework and local treats like mosbolletjies and artisan cheeses. A live two-piece band plays from 5pm on weekday afternoons.

Pinelands Craft & Gift Fair
Annual
A December craft and gift fair in the Kent Hall at Pinelands High School. Over 200 crafters show handcrafted cards and decorations, leatherwork, glassware, needlework and jewellery. A pop-up nursery runs alongside the stalls each year, selling plants in among the gifts and treats.

Simply Gifts Market
Annual
A curated festive gift market in the grounds of Sans Souci High School in Newlands, spread across indoor stalls and a tree-shaded courtyard. Over 230 hand-picked exhibitors bring handcrafted homeware, needlecraft, garden art and preserves. Free craft workshops run in the courtyard each day, for younger and older shoppers alike.

Skeppend Christmas Market @ Yzerfontein

An indoor Christmas market at the Yzerfontein Community Hall on the West Coast, run by Skeppend SA and given over to well-made South African products from small local businesses. Handmade gifts, décor and artisan treats gather under one roof, timed for the stretch of December when the West Coast fills with holidaymakers.

An annual Christmas market at Simonsvlei Wine Estate in Paarl, run by Skeppend SA and given over to locally crafted gifts. Over 200 selected exhibitors show handmade work, set among the estate's vineyards in the Winelands, with festive entertainment running through the season.

Annual
An annual indoor Christmas market in the Southern Suburbs, built around local small businesses, artists and crafters. More than 6,500 products fill the stalls, from gifts and home décor to children's toys and treats. Children can post their letters at Santa's meet-and-greet and leave with a sweet in hand.

The Gift Fair at The Baxter

A lifestyle gift fair set inside the Baxter, Cape Town's iconic Rondebosch theatre, which the fair fills beautifully across its foyers and spaces. Local makers show homeware, fashion, accessories and a deli section, with food and wine throughout. Friday brings late-night trading and live music, continuing in the gardens through the weekend.

An annual Christmas market on the grounds of Western Province Prep School, with over 80 vendors gathered in a large marquee. Stalls cover clothing, jewellery, homeware, children's toys and Christmas décor, with a tea garden and food vendors alongside. The marquee sits on the school fields, with lovely open views around it.

Shoppers browse the whole market and settle at a central pay-point near the exit, rather than paying stall by stall.
