KAAPSE GESKENKE MARK/CAPE GIFT MARKET 2019

Organisers are excited to announce their 19th Cape Gift Market, held in the Sea Point Civic Centre. During 2018/2019 the Civic Hall and facilities have been renovated and restored to a high standard, and Sea Point can be proud to offer such an event.  The 2017 Gift Market was visited by tourists from almost 40 different countries – definitely an achievement in marketing Cape Town to potential tourists!

Please visit this year’s event and experience the best of the Cape’s unique products, especially the food hall for the most excellent fruit cakes (Xmas cakes), a selection of cookies, rusks, biltong, and preserves.

In the main hall you’ll find decor items, plants, toys and clothes for the entire family, as well as some paintings from one or two well-known artists.

The market will also support some worthy fnd-raising organisations, such as “SAVE THE SHEEP” from the Sutherland area, which is suffering a devastating ongoing drought. This organisation will be offering hand-made products, such as dolls from wool, coffee mugs, and T-shirts to support those in need in this drought-stricken area.

And, finally, do visit the market’s coffee bar that offers something to eat and drink and is simply a “lekker” area to hang around, especially for anyone waiting whilst their loved ones do the shopping!
