A Fresh Chapter for a Century City Favourite
The Slow Sunday Market on Central Park brings a refreshing new chapter to a long-standing Century City tradition. For years, the Natural Goods Market has been part of local life, offering a space for neighbours, families, and visitors to gather in Central Park for food, relaxation, and connection. Now reimagined as the Slow Sunday Market, it continues that legacy with a renewed focus on slowing down and enjoying the moment.
A Feast for the Senses
Held on the last Sunday of selected summer months, this open-air market celebrates the simple pleasures of good food, live music, and community. Visitors can explore a wide variety of food stalls -from stone-baked pizzas, sushi, shawarmas, bao buns, and empanadas to ribs, focaccia, churros, and maritozzo cream buns. For drinks, there’s barista coffee, smoothies, craft beer, bubbly, and gin cocktails – perfect for a relaxed Sunday in the park.
Handcrafted and Local
Beyond the food, the market features a collection of artisan makers and crafters offering handmade jewellery, clothing, candles, books, leather goods, toys, and eco-friendly items. Each stall tells its own story and reflects the creativity and care of local small businesses.
Art, Music, and Community
The market atmosphere extends beyond shopping. Visitors can explore Art on the Park at The Club House, where rotating art exhibitions add a touch of creativity to the day. The lawns are ideal for picnics, and live music provides a laid-back soundtrack as the community gathers under the trees.
Family Fun and Activities
Families are well catered for at the Slow Sunday Market. The dedicated kids’ corner offers plenty to keep young visitors entertained, from jumping castles and lawn games to popcorn, candy floss, and gelato. Highlights include hands-on pot-plant decorating sessions and an interactive reptile show. Children can also meet Captain Feathers – the friendly Intaka Island mascot – or hop aboard the Century City Tramway for a short adventure through the precinct.
Your Sunday, Your Pace
With free parking and free entry, the Slow Sunday Market on Central Park offers an easy and enjoyable way to spend a Sunday morning. Visitors are encouraged to bring a friend, a blanket, and an appetite for good food and good company.
