About This Market
The Klein Karoo Ladismith Jeugmark returns for its fifth year, bringing together an impressive showcase of young entrepreneurial talent from across the Western Cape and Klein Karoo region. What began as a small initiative in a local coffee shop has grown into a much-loved annual market, now featuring more than 40 young entrepreneurs aged between 8 and 25.
Visitors can browse a wide variety of products created and sold by the young traders, including handmade crafts, jewellery, leather goods, woodwork, rope baskets, soy wax candles, artwork, goat’s milk soaps, cheeses, fresh produce, meat products and more. Food lovers can also look forward to good coffee, baked treats, lunches and delicatessen offerings.
The market attracts participants from Ladismith, Oudtshoorn, Albertinia, Vanwyksdorp, Vleiland, Darling and surrounding areas, creating a unique opportunity to support the next generation of local business owners. Behind every stall is a young entrepreneur gaining valuable experience in creativity, customer service and running a business.
Held at the Ladismith Dutch Reformed Church Hall, the Jeugmark offers a welcoming community atmosphere and a chance to shop directly from talented young makers while supporting their entrepreneurial journeys.
