The Village Market (Riebeek Valley)
Visit The Village Market in Riebeek Valley on the first Saturday of each month and experience the unique way in which locals catch up and visitors make friends …. this is a true Village market offering handmade and home grown crafts and foods run on a charity basis. Baskets leave laden with a multitude of delicious goodies to eat and talented crafters and local artists with unique handmade wares get together in a peaceful, outdoor environment.
Fresh breads and farm butter, a delicious variety of foods ranging from English Pork Pies to African Fusion, Indian cuisine to traditional South African foods all created out of this fruitful Valley, together with plants, herbs, pesto’s, gourmet cheeses, a organic vegetable offering and a variety of farm-fresh produce, and a unique collection of succulent plants and cacti from Namaqualand all make up some of the classic stalls. Local crafters with traditional children’s toys, décor and speciality items, as well as local artists display paintings of the region that allows visitors to celebrate a memorable visit to this market.
