About This Market

The TCOE Mowbray Market is a monthly community market that brings together small-scale farmers, food producers and artisans from across the Western Cape. Held alongside the Liesbeek River in Mowbray, the market creates a direct link between local producers and the public while supporting sustainable farming practices and food sovereignty initiatives.

Visitors can browse a selection of fresh seasonal vegetables, herbs, endemic plants, seedlings, sustainably sourced produce and handmade goods. Many of the products originate from agroecology hubs and smallholder farms that grow food without synthetic or toxic agricultural chemicals.

Hosted by the Trust for Community Outreach and Education (TCOE) in collaboration with partner organisations, the market provides a platform for emerging farmers and local producers to showcase their work, connect with customers and strengthen local food systems.

With its relaxed outdoor setting and focus on ethical, earth-friendly products, the TCOE Mowbray Market offers an opportunity to support local growers while shopping for fresh produce and unique handmade items.
