About This Market

Every Saturday morning, the Market Space in Kapokblom Street fills with the best of Gansbaai’s home-grown and homemade produce, right behind the Overstrand Library.

You’ll find farm-fresh produce alongside oven-fresh bakes and artisan breads, with fish straight off the grill for something more substantial. A coffee bar and juice bar keep you going while you browse, and there’s homemade preserves, indigenous plants, craft beer and local wines to take home.

Traders also bring jewellery, crafts and gifts, with all the makers here specialising in organic, homemade and home-grown goods. Add refreshments and a relaxed Saturday morning atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why this has become a local weekend fixture.
