The Life.Style & Eco Fair in Gardens (previously the Obs Holistic Lifestyle Fair) is one of Cape Town’s most established markets, on the scene for almost 16 years now. But this December marks the last monthly occurrence of the market, as the fair undergoes some changes, moving towards a quarterly format with a wider focus:

The next exciting phase of the Fair’s life starts in February next year, when the event becomes a less frequent, but a larger, more intensively-focused quarterly mind, body, spirit festival featuring a dynamic line-up of exhibitors; speakers and workshops; films, performances and displays.

That means visitors craving all things good, wholesome and healthy will still be able to get their regular dose of healthy living and discover a wide range of ‘esoteric’ and more mainstream contemporary health, wellness and environmental issues, services, products and topics.

And that’s not all. From January 2013, the Fair will also feature a weekly satellite market every Sunday in the Company’s Garden, Cape Town – the Simple Pleasures Market (website not showing any info at time of writing). This will apparently be a “European-style boulevard market with a uniquely South African flavour: featuring street food, art, artisans, designers, handcraft, collectibles, lifestyle, wellness, eco-friendly products, family, culture, community & performance”.

The Fair will also have an offshoot during the December holidays (14-24 December 2012) at the new Cape Town Summer Day/Night Market in the Company’s Garden.
