The Craft Market at Spier
The Craft Market at Spier is a colourful, vibrant boutique market, where some of the best artists in their fields create individual pieces that are often more art than craft. From full sized-sculptures and trophy heads to small pocket-sized gifts, jewellery and textiles, recycled and upcycled art, ceramics and glass, there is a locally made piece of Africa to suit everyone’s taste and budget.
Curated and styled by Sue Heathcock, the market is run as a fair-trade social enterprise. Emerging and established creative entrepreneurs and artists all take turns on site, so visitors can watch them at work and can also book making experiences with them.
The Market is at Spier Wine Farm, on the tree-shaded lawns below the Wine-Tasting Centre and opens daily from the end of September to the beginning of May.
