Terra Madre Market: New food market in Elgin

The Terra Madre Market is a new food market launching this coming weekend (Saturday 28 September 2013) in the Elgin Valley.
According to the pamphlet we spotted, the venue is a working apple and olive farm in the Elgin Valley (about 70km from Cape Town) and the market will be offering ‘slow-cooked regional fare, farm fresh produce, sourdough bread, baked goods and more – all prepared on the farm’.
Sounds pretty tasty – and there’s more:

TM cider, Iona wines, artisanal beer, fresh apple juice and lots more on offer at farm door prices. We’re all about taking top quality produce, farmed with integrity and treating it with large doses of love and respect, to bring you wholesome, delicious food available from source.

  1. Thanks for the lovely article! I went to experience the market this Sunday and it was beyond amazing. Plan to go for lunch as Chef Nicole Precoudis is preparing a feast for each market day. You are able to try her range of artisanal products, sample the wines from Iona and then feast on long tables among the apple trees. My idea of pure unadulterated bliss. She has now set up a Facebook page where you will be able to see the dates and the menus for the market days
