The Terra Madre Market is a new food market launching this coming weekend (Saturday 28 September 2013) in the Elgin Valley.
According to the pamphlet we spotted, the venue is a working apple and olive farm in the Elgin Valley (about 70km from Cape Town) and the market will be offering ‘slow-cooked regional fare, farm fresh produce, sourdough bread, baked goods and more – all prepared on the farm’.
Sounds pretty tasty – and there’s more:
TM cider, Iona wines, artisanal beer, fresh apple juice and lots more on offer at farm door prices. We’re all about taking top quality produce, farmed with integrity and treating it with large doses of love and respect, to bring you wholesome, delicious food available from source.
The market starts this Saturday and will be held on selected dates over the next few months:
- 28 September 2013 (10am-3.30pm)
- 12 October 2013 (10am-3.30pm)
- 2,3,9,10 November 2013 – (9am-5pm – part of Elgin Open Gardens Days)
- 7,14,21 December 2013 (10am-3.30pm)
The Terra Madre Market is located at 33 Viljoenshoop Road, Elgin.
