Riebeek Valley Olive Festival 2015

It’s olive harvest time, and every year the Riebeek Valley celebrates with a two-day festival dedicated to all things olive-related.  It’s great fun, with all kinds of activities for all kinds of festival-goers (whether you like olives or not).  Take a look at this year’s festival programme.

As part of the festivities, the monthly Riebeek West Funky FRESH Market will be held over two days instead of the usual one.  SATURDAY: 9am-4pm | SUNDAY: 9am-3pm

The Olive Emporium located in the centre of Riebeek Kasteel, will play host to local South African Olive producers with a wide array of produce to sample and to purchase – a feast of olives, all under one roof. The well-known Riebeek Valley wines from the local cellars, artisanal beers, an abundance of good local food and live entertainment will be available at the Emporium throughout the weekend.

From the centralised Olive Emporium make your way on one of the free shuttles and tractor trips to the other participating venues where a wide array of olive produce, olive body products, entertainment, food and good old fashioned and down to earth, Riebeek hospitality awaits you throughout the weekend.

An Olive Passport, valid for the entire weekend, will give you access to the participating wine farms, the Olive Emporium and the Olive Boutique. Purchase your passport (R70 per person) online via or on the day at any of the participating venues, including the Olive Emporium. Tasting glasses and tasting coupons will be available to purchase throughout the weekend at these participating venues.
