The Made in the Cape Market is back from 6-9 July 2017, showcasing the creative talents of the Mother City’s best designers, decorators, artists and artisans. This popular monthly market is the perfect place to find something special for a gift (large or small), with a great range of beautiful local handmade décor and gifts, jewellery, art and more.
Some exciting new exhibitors to look out for this month include:-
- Carinmakes: Carin Smith creates exquisite floral inspired designs, from canvas and leather tote bags to paper décor flowers.
- Margie Jansen Surface Design: fresh and original textile designs in all manner of décor and gift items – cushions, aprons, storage buckets to tablecloths.
- Kika Ceramics: Inspired by her Italian heritage, Francesca’s ceramics reflect the shapes found in nature, in architecture and in clothing.
To keep you warm on these chilly evenings, Jam Tarts will be there with their colourful patchwork throws and cushions. And, all your favourites will be there, including the ever popular Reclaim Design, with their home and garden pieces made from reclaimed materials.
But wait, there’s more! For the 1st time, Made in the Cape will be having a sale. This is ‘not the usual sale’: the creative process results in ‘experimental items’ that do not all become a part of a designers range. This is your chance to come and grab some unique, one-off pieces and discontinued items.
