This fair is one of the Mother City’s most established markets. It’s a colourful affair, where crystal balls, chickpea fudge and alternative therapies abound.
Have your palm read, or ask a sangoma to throw the bones for you… browse through esoteric books and music, and then find yourself a tasty snack of genuine spanakopita to nibble upon.
The Fair hosts a wide variety of holistic therapists, life counsellors and healing practitioners who can help you achieve the focus and wellbeing you need to live a healthy, balanced life. Whether you need in-depth guidance reassessing your life path, or a brief escape from everyday life, you’re sure to find the right person to assist you at the Holistic Fair.
Other highlights of the Fair include vegetarian and organic food; ‘green’ products; plants and herbs; esoteric books and world music; unusual handmade goods; funky clothing, body art and jewellery, décor, art and craft and much more. The kids are welcome, and so are well-behaved dogs!
The Obs Holistic Lifestyle Fair takes place on the first Sunday of every month (10am to 4pm) at the River Club, Observatory (off Liesbeek Parkway).
Small entry fee for adults (under-16’s free) and four-legged visitors are welcome to attend. Patrolled parking.
